On April 25, 2014 at approximately 9:00:01 a.m. EST, six (6) Semi-Finalists and their respective submissions for each of the following six (6) age categories; 0-8 years of age; 9-12 years of age; 13-18 years of age; 19-29 years of age; 30-49 years of age and 50 years of age and older will be placed online at for public voting.  Only one (1) submission per individual will be eligible for a Semi-Finalist position. Voting will start at 9:00:01 a.m. EST April 25, 2014 and end at 11:59:59 a.m. EST on May 12, 2014 (hereafter referred to as the “Voting Period”) and is open to all legal residents of Canada. Limit one (1) vote per IP address per category. Use of mechanical or automated programs to submit votes or submitting votes in a manner that would be unfair to other entrants may result in the disqualification of those votes, in the sole discretion of the Contest Sponsor.

The top two (2) Finalists in each of the six (6) age categories who receive the highest number of votes at the end of the Voting Period will be deemed the potential Grand Prize winners for that age category. In the event of a tie, or if there are insufficient votes to determine two (2) eligible winners in an age category, a random draw amongst those entries that are tied for that age category will determine the two (2) eligible Grand Prize winners and in the case of insufficient votes for a category then a random draw from amongst the four (4) remaining semi-finalists in all six (6) categories will determine the eligible Grand Prize winner. The odds of a Semi-Finalist winning a Grand Prize will depend on the number of votes he/she received during the Voting Entry Period.  Contest Sponsors, acting reasonably, will attempt to contact the potential Grand Prize winners by telephone within two (2) business days after end of the Voting Entry Period. In the event that a potential Grand Prize winner cannot be contacted within two (2) business days after end of the Voting Entry Period, he or she will be disqualified and an alternate potential Grand Prize winner will be selected in accordance with the procedure outlined above, with the necessary amendments. Proof of identification must be provided upon request.

There will be twelve (12) Grand Prizes awarded. Each Grand Prize consists of an iPad mini with Wi-Fi 16GB. Approximate retail value $320 CDN. Each prize will be delivered to the winner by the Sponsor upon the conclusion of the Contest. Please allow 2-4 weeks for delivery of the prize. Prizes must be accepted as awarded without substitution, are not for resale and have no cash surrender value. The Sponsor reserves the right, in the event that a Prize cannot be awarded as described for any reason, to substitute another prize or prize component for a prize or a prize component of equal or greater value, without liability.

In order to be awarded a Grand Prize, a potential winner (or in the case of a minor, his/her parent or legal guardian) must be in compliance with these Official Contest Rules and Regulations. The selected prize winner will be notified by e-mail and telephone and will be required to correctly answer a mathematical skill testing question and sign (or in the case of a minor, his/her parent or legal guardian will be required to sign) and return a declaration of eligibility and a liability/publicity release within five (5) business days of notification.  If the selected prize winner cannot be contacted by e-mail or telephone or fails to return the Contest documents within the specified time or otherwise fails to comply with these Contest rules, he/she will forfeit their prize and the entrant in the applicable category with the next highest votes will be eligible to receive the prize. Contest judges' rulings are final and without appeal in all matters related to the Contest and the awarding of a prize.
